The fema national earthquake hazards reduction program accomplishments in fiscal year 2014 much of the work completed in fy 2014 is helping to reduce earthquake risk and serving as the foundation for realizing effective long term outcomes. The national earthquake hazards reduction program nehrp seeks to mitigate earthquake losses in the united states fema is responsible for developing effective earthquake risk reduction tools and promoting their implementation as well as supporting the development of disaster resistant building codes and standards. With the fema regions the states the earthquake consortia and other public and private partners this report describes selected fema nehrp accomplishments hq and regional followed by highlights from the states and us territories and organizations which received fema support for nehrp activities in fiscal year fy 2013 fema. The federal emergency management agency fema is pleased to announce the release of the fema national earthquake hazards reduction program accomplishments in fiscal year 2012 the report provides examples of replicable state projects best practices and initiatives for mitigating earthquake risk and increasing the community disaster resilience.
